Recall Program Case Study

Battery Recall Case Study: A large OEM approached us needing to recall lithium ion batteries for one of their EV models. The pallet of the crate needed to be designed for a standard pallet jack so that dealership (receiving the defective battery from the customer) could easily maneuver the crate. Once at the receiving facility, the crate needed to be moved and raised using an overhead crane. Ameripak designed the crate to be accessible via both pallet jack and overhead crane option. Each crate wall was lined with XLPE foam to ensure that the crate met the requirement of being surrounded by "cushioning material that is non-combustible, electrically non-conductive, and absorbent"
